Wireless Sensorbox P1
From 1 January 2025, Ratio is launching a new product:
the wireless dynamic load balancer: Sense Wireless P1
Over the past few months, we have been working hard to develop this new product. Field tests have recently been successfully completed and from 1 January the Wireless Sensorbox P1 will be available for delivery. This load balancing kit is ideal for situations where wiring between ev charger and main cabinet is difficult or expensive. This could be because an old charging station was already installed without load balancing. With the Wireless Sensorbox, a new Ratio EV charger can simply be hung and there is no need to open up the ground. The Sense box is placed in the meter cabinet and connected to the P1 port of the Smart Meter via the supplied data cable. The Ratio EV charger (manufactured from 01-01-2025) contains a wireless receiver. This makes simple and fast contact between the Load Balancer in the meter cabinet and the charging station. After this, maximum safe and fast charging is always possible.

The Ratio Solar (38870, 38871 and 38872) are no longer supplied with DLB kit as standard. You can choose the version with CT clamps to be wired or the new Sense Wireless P1.
The Ratio Smart is going out of the portfolio. The Ratio Smart was the Ratio Solar without DLB kit

Wireless Sensorbox P1 (Ratio item number 38809) works only in combination with P1 meter, not with CT clamps.

The operation of the wireless Sense kit depends on 2 things:
- Distance between Sensorbox and the ev charger. The technique is the same as that of a car key and a car, to give an indication of range.
- Certain material between Sensorbox and the ev charger disrupt or deteriorate communication (corrugated iron, for example)
